About My Clients
I have extensive experience working with Depression, Anxiety, Autism, Addiction and ADHD. Working with people to help them to learn ways to cope and thrive is very rewarding. I also specilize in working with parents to provide support and teach parenting skills for helping their child with mental health issues.
My Background and Approach
I am skilled at working with people by listening and collaborating to work on ways to feel better. I believe that people are experts on themselves and that therapy needs to be both of us working together. My approach is a person centered, cognitive behavioral approach. I will teach techniques including mindfulness exercises, coping strategies, and self care. This can help to minimize distress and improve mood, which helps daily functioning.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all people should be treated equally. I have always been inclusive in life and in my practice. I support the LGBTQ community. In addition, I have two teenage sons who have struggled with Autism and ADHD. This helps me to have more knowledge in treating these issues, in addition to relating to and helping parents with parenting and self care. I enjoy working out and watching football in my spare time.
