Transpersonal Therapy

Transpersonal therapy is a therapeutic treatment orientation that takes a holistic approach. Instead of focusing only on the mind, transpersonal therapy takes the physical, emotional, intellectual, creative and social needs of the individual into account. In transpersonal therapy, the emphasis is on the health of the spirit. The theory behind transpersonal therapy is that all people consist of parts that are intangible and beyond our known existence (or spiritual). Working to heal these spiritual aspects is necessary in order to achieve whole wellbeing. Think this approach might be right for you? Exploration of non-ordinary states of consciousness and use of mindfulness practices can be an effective way step outside of the ego and gain a wider perspective on one's problems.

Many clients may be looking for a different type of self-exploration and growth. By integrating spiritual, psychological, and existential dimensions, transpersonal therapy goes beyond the individual psyche to explore the interconnectedness of self and the cosmos. I utilize the lens of astrology to help clients gain insight into their unique cosmic blueprint by examining archetypes and symbolism to provide pathways to profound personal insights and alignment with one's authentic path.

— Joshua Bogart, Professional Counselor Associate in Beaverton, OR

My expertise in Transpersonal Therapy is grounded in academic and hands-on experience with Eastern philosophies, Tibetan Buddhism, and Sufism. Transpersonal psychology is the psychology of transformation. One that is integrative/holistic, and beyond ego. Transpersonal psychology incorporates traditional forms of psychology and then adds another lens that helps me and you see beyond what is right in front of us.

When we recognise that we are not just this body and connect with something bigger than ourselves, questions arise. It is in those moments when we need a guidance that connects us with concrete aspects that help us not to get lost in this journey. As a music therapist I specialise in transpersonal archetypal music therapy, a deeply spiritual approach and work with the Naturaleza Corporal method, in which we work with the 7 main chakras. I also work as an animal communicator and end of life doula

— Clara Baffa, Art Therapist

Dr. Inez utilizes Jungian archetypes and psychedelics to evoke a sense of ritual and ceremony in her work.

I use a transpersonal lens and work with Jungian archetypes including dreams, tarot, goddess work, and astrology. Spiritual healing is part of holistic wellness that is too often separated from traditional psychotherapy.

— Casey Dunne, Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in Boulder, CO

A transpersonal therapist sees everyone and everything as connected. On a personal level, I wonder if we are all just different aspects of one larger being. From this perspective, non-local interaction is an everyday occurrence, whether we're aware of it or not. I use my tantric healer training to help guide you to healing relationships with those you love and with those who've hurt you, whether they are alive or have passed.

— Erika Laurentz, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Olympia, WA

Transpersonal Therapy takes a spiritual and healing approach to self growth and understanding one-self. All people need to be connected to the soul. This is different than religion.

— Michelle North, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Encinitas, CA
