About My Clients
You or your loved one have a big life transition and know that you could use extra support for a career change, divorce, new school, developmental milestone, traumatic event, or death of a loved one. You want someone who understands how hard it is to be a supervisor, parent, partner, activist, organizer, creative, technical lead, project manager, navigating today's world. You want a co-pilot while you're in the driver's seat with individual actions, family change, and or system's change.
My Background and Approach
I draw from the toolboxes of Somatic approaches of Internal Family Systems, Synergetic Child-Centered and Filial Play Therapy, Multimodal Therapy, Neurodivergent Affirming Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), post-crisis Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. Let's talk and find something that works for all you have to give to the world and your self. You might enjoy drawing, listening to music, playing games, or going for nature walks. Let's do those to get to know your nervous system so we can reduce stress responses, and continue to build the life you've dreamed of. Call or email to schedule an appointment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I genuinely don't believe that there is anything wrong with you, but that we live in a society that stigmatizes certain ways of being and learning how to advocate for ourselves within ourselves, our family, our relationships, our school, our work and community is a journey that we can collaborate on. I'm an active member of the antiracist and liberatory movement led by POC. I have volunteered in STEM mentorship spaces for more than a decade in the Washington Opportunity Scholarship, First Five Years and Beyond, and at Seattle Children's Research Institute for underrepresented identities. My business carries my name, not for simplicity, but as a tribute to the interwoven history and strength passed down through generations. I am Chessie Rebecca Snider, named by my grandma after her own grandma, who nurtured & guided her just as my grandmother did for me. My name embodies both the legacy of resilience & the commitment to honoring culture while shedding patterns that no longer serve us.
