About My Clients
My clients are typically adults 18 years and older experiencing feelings of anxiety, stress, and insomnia. You might be someone who experiences shortness of breath, a racing heart, a racing mind, and sleep problems. I will work with you in a nonjudgmental way to help you gain control over your thoughts and feelings and give you insight into helping yourself during moments of panic or stress. I look forward to teaching you the tools to be successful in your everyday life.
My Background and Approach
My approach is to help the whole individual. I have experience in cognitive behavioral therapy (focusing on how our thoughts effect our feelings), dialectical therapy (bringing mindfulness and distress tolerance into practice), I have studied integrative medicine (focusing on natural remedies for anxiety and depression), and I have trauma training to help you gain perspective and clarity over your past. My goal is to help you process your emotions and thoughts and give you an extensive amount of tools that you can utilize in your journey to gain control over your thoughts and feelings.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I personally believe that everyone at some point will experience something that they have a hard time managing. We get used to one way of being and while that can help us for a time, we can also get stuck in our ways and can have a hard time getting out of our heads. Sometimes it takes an objective person to help put things in perspective and teach new tools to allow you to cope with stressors, anxieties, depressive symptoms, and insomnia. I believe I can help you. I will work with you in a caring and compassionate way, but I will also challenge you at times and help you gain new perspectives and clarity through out this process.
