About My Clients
If you’ve landed on this page, you're probably feeling overwhelmed. You may be realizing the perfectionism that has gotten you so far in life has now become your worst enemy. Maybe you're a college student or recent grad feeling crushed under the pressure to succeed. You might be stuck in the vicious cycle of disordered eating, or noticing eating disorder recovery is a really tough thing to do alone. Stress, anxiety, and depression can make you feel like there is no way out.
How I Can Help You
If you're looking for a buttoned-up therapist who responds with a "hmm" and a head nod while silently scribbling on a notepad --- that is not me. My style of therapy is active. I connect deeply with my clients in their 20s, women struggling to live up to their own impossible standards, hustling on the pursuit of perfection, crushed by their own self-judgment and guilt --- because that used to be me! I provide my clients with the tools I know work, based on my personal experience, as well as extensive clinical training in therapy methods designed specifically for people just like you (Google RO-DBT if you're curious!). It isn't easy to ask for help, especially if you're used to handling things on your own. It is my priority as a therapist to make sure you feel comfortable, unjudged, and safe to share the most vulnerable parts of you in therapy. We're a team from the second you pick up the phone to call me, putting our heads and hearts together to find your path to peace and freedom.
Why I am a Good Fit for You
I believe that finding the right support is the key to lasting change. No one should have to navigate life's challenges on their own. Like my clients, I've felt the pressure to have it all figured out and appear "put together" at all times. The sooner I realized no one (literally no one) has it all figured out, the easier it was to accept the parts of me that I didn't love. I know you can find that peace too. I practice a strong belief in health at every size, intuitive eating, and body liberation. I strive to be an intersectional feminist, an ally to the LGBTQ+ community, and a champion for animal rights. I believe systemic change starts at the individual level. My purpose as a therapist is to help my clients accept themselves, creating a ripple effect that leads to a more compassionate and accepting world.
