About My Clients
Feeling stuck on autopilot, lost, or anxious? You're not alone. Not being sure who you are at the core or how to feel more balanced can feel scary. We lose sight of our true selves amidst the hustle and noise around us, but you deserve to reclaim your true self, unapologetically and fully. Let's unravel the patterns holding you back, empowering you to design the life you desire. Discover your inner voice, and nurture it with kindness.
My Background and Approach
My approach is rooted in systems- which means I look at how various aspects of your life interact and influence each other. We'll explore the patterns and narratives that have shaped your life, identify areas where you're feeling stuck, and develop strategies to move forward. To do this, I incorporate CBT, narrative therapy, and somatic techniques providing a holistic framework. As a trained yoga teacher, I often integrate gentle movement and mindfulness to our sessions. While I will challenge you at times, I believe in creating a safe and supportive space where you can express yourself authentically and explore your deepest concerns without judgment. By focusing on your strengths and fostering self-compassion you can build a more balanced life. I have specialized training in perinatal mental health, coupled with extensive work in anxiety. I'm actively engaged in continuing my education in somatic techniques and expanding my knowledge so I can help you in the best way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the capacity to change and deserves to feel whole and okay. Often, we find ourselves stuck in generational patterns that we don't always recognize, which can contribute to mental health challenges. The good news is that we can undo these patterns and create new, healthier ones. I view therapy as a sacred ritual, a weekly sanctuary where you can come and be your true self without judgment. It's like weekly self-care. My aim is to hold a space that is open, inclusive, and genuinely supportive. I understand that we all have hard days and it isn't always easy to maintain a sunny outlook. However, I firmly believe that you have the inner strength to make meaningful changes. I also believe that the Pittsburgh Penguins are the best NHL team, but I promise that won't influence our sessions ... too much!
