My goal is to help you move from a life of instant gratification to a meaningful life. It is also important to break the cycle of negative self-talk and self-defeating behaviors that perpetuate the addiction. There is no “one size fits all” approach to therapy. My goal is to better understand you as an individual and the reason that brought you to therapy.
My Background and Approach
I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy, incorporating different approaches to fit the need of the client. Many of the counseling approaches that I use include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, 12-step model, and a strengths-based approach. The approach will depend on what you need. Therefore, we will collaboratively develop a treatment plan while moving at a comfortable pace. In working together, you will move from feeling powerless to feeling empowered. I understand how hopeless it must feel when you are in the tight grips of addiction, but I have never met anyone who was incapable of achieving recovery.
