Hey there! I'm Jill. I work with teens and adults navigating all the things life throws at us. Is therapy for you? Let's talk!

About My Clients

Sometimes being a person is hard. I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and parents. Parents- if you are at your wits' end, I can help you to navigate the ups and downs of it all. If you are looking for a therapist for your teen, I like to think of myself as very relatable to youth who "gets" them. The truth is, you can read these little blurbs all day, but you won't really know if I'm a good fit until we talk. So let's talk!

My Background and Approach

My approach to therapy is rather simple. I work to build a relationship of trust and respect, honor your (or your child's) goals, and help reduce isolation. I can't promise or guarantee that your life will be astronomically better after going through a few sessions with me. I can't "get rid" of the anxiety, sadness, or trauma in your life. But I can tell you that I will honor your story, your struggles, and your goals. I will treat you with dignity, validate all the good, bad, ugly, and weirdness of your life, and will not make you feel ashamed of who you are or where you have been. I can help you to understand yourself better, at the pace you are ready for. I have been trained in working with people who experience depression, anxiety, and trauma. I have done grief and loss work, sat with teenagers in some of their darkest times, and helped them heal. I love this work, and I'd be honored if you gave it a try!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that it is never "too late" to heal. We can all shift and grow at any age. I believe that progress is a slow but a very possible process. I don't believe in shortcuts when it comes to your mental health. There is no quick fix. But there can be quick bursts of insight and joy that can keep you motivated to continue. Personally, I also believe that coffee gives life meaning, Kyushu style ramen is the perfect meal, and despite living in California for 10 years, New York City will always have my heart.
