About My Clients
Have you been feeling lost, confused or lonely? Reached a point in your life of dissatisfaction? These moments can feel strange, frightening and it might seem there’s no way through. I’m here to say – healing is possible and you’re worth it. Moving towards a life that feels more satisfying and enlivening is your birth right, and therapy can be an essential support on this journey. I work with folks struggling with relationship issues, childhood trauma and life’s transitions.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from Naropa University in Boulder, CO, where I completed my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. While health looks different for each person, having a caring and supportive therapist to assist is often a key ingredient. In my practice I bring non-judgement, compassion and humor to each session. As a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice, I support adults and couples looking to understand themselves more deeply and live with vibrancy. I see therapy as a collaborative process, where we both work together to support your healing journey well. I skillfully weave my experience with meditation, mindfulness, communication and relationship strategies, parts work and Hakomi psychotherapy to serve your needs in therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing and living well is our birth right. I believe we need to create a world where we can all safely live in a way that helps us be whole and human. I believe that as humans we learn, change, and adapt to our early environments which can create necessary survival strategies that then later in life become more cumbersome. I value openness, presence, honesty and laughter. I have volunteered with my local Ultimate frisbee association in varied ways over the years. I currently hold roles which allow me to investigate and mediate issues, as well as define our direction as an organization towards equity in all the ways. I consider myself a feminist, a BIPOC-ally, a supporter of folks living the LGBTQIA+ experience and neurodiversity. I believe that supporting our diversity as a people is beautiful. And that means working to understand the experiences of those different from us - I see that as my responsibility as a white, cis woman living with some privilege.
