About My Clients
You’ve gone to therapy before, but nothing seems to stick. The things you’ve always done to cope aren’t working, but you can’t break free from those patterns no matter how hard you try. You have a hard time setting boundaries, advocating for yourself, and making the changes you want. You’re having memory issues and shutting down. You feel helpless, broken, and unacceptable. Your inner critic is loud and tough. You’re on edge all the time and exhausted. It's like you've been shattered to pieces.
My Background and Approach
It might feel like traditional talk therapy has failed you, but that’s not because you’re too much or too broken. You just haven’t found the right fit yet. Together we can break the cycles keeping you stuck, help you master new, more effective ways of living the life you want, and process the trauma of your past that’s keeping you from enjoying your present and embracing a more hopeful future. I draw from several types of evidenced-based therapy including EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), exposure therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), parts work, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and more. I earned my MA in clinical mental health counseling from Rollins College with a certificate in family and relationship therapy, and I currently serve clients ages 18+ as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, and a National Certified Counselor.
