About My Clients
I support humans navigating big life shifts—new moms juggling identity, kids figuring out who they are, and teens wrestling with family and peer pressures. New moms come to me for real talk, not perfection, finding balance and calm in the chaos. Kids and teens find a space to be unapologetically themselves, learning to handle life’s messiness with resilience. My style? Honest, compassionate, and down-to-earth, helping each person feel heard, understood, and ready to tackle their journey.
My Background and Approach
I’m a therapist with a master’s in social work, specializing in trauma-informed care and supporting clients through complex life transitions. My approach draws on CBT, EMDR, somatic practices, and mindfulness-based stress reduction, focusing on reconnecting clients with their bodies to restore calm and resilience. I've worked with teens in school settings, as well as parents balancing multiple stressors. Using a blend of neuroscience and evidence-based techniques, I aim to create sessions that are as dynamic and unique as the people I work with. In my practice, I also incorporate narrative approaches, allowing clients to reshape their personal stories and gain fresh perspectives on their experiences. My goal is to provide a safe, empowering space where clients feel grounded, understood, and equipped with practical tools to navigate life. This holistic, client-centered approach enables me to adapt to each person’s needs, fostering personal growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that each person has the right and ability to live fully in their truth, and to live a "good" life with whatever form that takes for each client. At the core of everything I believe everyone has the right to be who they are fully, without discrimination. I spend my time and efforts protecting our coastline, supporting new moms in their journey into the unknown world of motherhood, volunteering as a crisis counselor, and an active member of communities to support those living with various chronic illnesses.
