About My Clients
Mostly male identified adults 20's and up. People who are looking to dive deeply into their habitual thoughts in order to understand themselves more fully and therefore show up more fully and authentically in the world. Are you unsure of how to grow out of patterns of stagnancy with your partner, parents, friends, siblings or children? This can feel so impossible and permanent and yet I've found that lending space to these issues can be incredibly useful and transformative
My Background and Approach
A sense of humor, a 20-year yoga and meditation practice, and a grounded authenticity help me navigate the healing process. I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2003. After college I began teaching tennis to children, teens, and adults. I greatly enjoyed coaching, particularly in regards to helping people work on their ‘inner game.’ In 2006, I moved from Durham, NC, to San Francisco, CA to study East-West Psychology and Somatic Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies. I graduated in 2012, and obtained my license to practice Marriage and Family Therapy in California in 2014. Through deepening your sense of awareness, through understanding a framework and philosophy of mind, and through healing in relationship, one's quality of life can really improve dramatically and quickly. I love what I do, because I love what the space itself affords- a place to breathe and unpack.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an ally of all marginalized people. I'm a student of culture. I strive to be truly open to all who wish to engage. I'm a student of yoga and zen meditation. I love sports and music. I love to connect with humans.
