About My Clients
Is your child struggling with their emotions, behaviors, and/or struggling in school? It is difficult to watch your child or adolescent struggle and not be able to tap into their inner world and fix all the problems! When you choose therapy with me, I use fun and creative activities to help your child discover and explore that inner world safely, in the process they learn about their emotions, how to handle urges, and cope with the struggles and stressors of life.
My Background and Approach
I primarily use creative and expressive approaches to counseling no matter what age. I am trained in play therapy, Sand Tray, Experiential, and trauma interventions. I enjoy using art, play, music, and movement to aid in healing and growth. I also use child-parent relationship therapy to help build the connection and understanding between a child and their caregiver.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy can and should look different for each person and that people are the experts in their own lives. I want to walk alongside you in your journey, ensuring you are the guiding force to achieving your goals. I also believe that pineapple and bacon is the best kind of pizza, candy can be eaten before dinner, and there is always room for ice cream!
