About My Clients
Sometimes life throws a lot of challenges at us at the same time and it can help to talk through what is going on with a trusted person to gain a better understanding of your emotions, identify roadblocks and obstacles to optimal mental health and overcome anxiety. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety reduction, treatment of panic attacks, relationship issues, parenting problems, stress management, decision paralysis and self-esteem issues.
My Background and Approach
My therapy style is nonjudgmental and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, Aceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, DBT and EMDR. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We all develop ways to cope with situations that we are thrust in, whether that is as a child in our family or later in life through a trauma or a series of stressfull experiences. We develop ways to cope with those situations, and they frequently serve us well at the time, but then comes a point where it no longer works as well. This is when it is time to consider new ways of coping. I believe that we can always learn new ways of thinking about and dealing with situations. We do not have to stay stuck in our old habits.
