About My Clients
I work with people struggling with changes in life. Sometimes those are mild or sometimes they're intense; sometimes they're chosen and sometimes they're not. I specialize in working with women who are experiencing anxiety, pregnancy, postpartum, grief/loss, trauma, or relationship struggles. I also specialize in working with teens struggling with family conflict, anger, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues. And I work with couples who want to find more connection.
My Background and Approach
When you finally make the brave decision to reach out to a therapist, you want someone who will be gentle enough to support you, caring enough to attempt to understand, and strong enough to walk beside you as ask for support during a tough time. I am certified in Sand Tray Therapy and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, both of which I enjoy utilizing with clients who want to see things from a different perspective or who help need processing their struggles in a different way than "just" talking. I am also trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, which I use as a foundation to help couples create better connection and satisfaction.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in digging deep and healing from the source of pain, instead of masking the symptoms, which is most often just a temporary fix. I support my clients through this heavy work by exploring the root of their pain, the parts that feel unheard, unseen or unloved, and then working to acknowledge those parts and allow others to genuinely see their authentic self, which helps lead to a more fulfilled life.
