As a therapist, certified health coach, and veteran first responder living with type 1 diabetes, I understand the unique challenges you face.
My Background and Approach
The tools that I'll provide you with are tools that I have been perfecting over my career helping people just like you and I have used myself. Let's fill your tool chest with the tools and techniques that you can carry with you at all times. So no matter where you go, you'll always have access to discreet exercises that can quickly create relief. I am direct and solution focused. We'll work collaboratively to address what is bothering you right now, whether it is stress, anxiety, PTSD, or depression. For the past 13 years I have been working with first responders and people impacted by diabetes and other chronic illnesses. It can be difficult to envision making changes to the way you think about your situation and I have attended trainings that teach techniques to respond based on your value system rather than emotions with the use of Motivational Interviewing, Reality Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an avid outdoor person. I love to be outdoors and if I had it my way, my office would be a hiking path, the top of a mountain, and a quiet lake or stream. Like you, I have experienced the difficulties life can put in our way, and like you, I needed and found support to help me through it. Family, friends, and enjoying life is what we all need.
