About My Clients
Are you struggling in your relationships with your children, spouse, or other family members? Does self-care and balance feel impossible? Maybe you've read all the self-help books and are just left feeling confused about how to make a change in your life or maybe you're just feeling so overwhelmed you don't even know where to start. Maybe anxiety and depression have you feeling confused about where to even start and deep breathing just isn't cutting it anymore.
My Background and Approach
I have a lot of experience working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, and low self-confidence, and those wanting to improve their communication with others so that they feel heard and understood. My mission is to help clients see the good in themselves, feel confident in their abilities, discover their passions, and accomplish their goals using a systemic, client-centered approach. Learning how to set healthy boundaries, develop assertive communication skills, and explore existing patterns are a few of the ways that I work to influence change. I also specialize in working with parents who are wanting to make changes to how they feel as a parent and how they interact with their children. Parenting is HARD and most of us had a mix of parent models from our own childhood experience. I work to provide a non-judgemental, supportive space to explore your experience as a parent and help you reach a place where you are feeling good about your role.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all hold the power to make changes and grow as humans. Sometimes we just need someone in our corner to help support us in that journey. So many of us walk around with hidden hurts and uncommunicated needs. It can be hard to explain to those around us what is going on inside and a lot of times, when we do open up, we are met with responses that are invalidating. I want to change that for people. I am a very open, inclusive, social justice-advocating, cat-loving, cupcake-eating, and book-reading human. I have two kiddos, a husband, 4 cats (who will make appearances during telehealth), and a couple of plants I'm trying to keep alive. I love Lego, reading everything from Jane Austin to Sarah J. Maas, and food/baking shows. I am an Enneagram 6w5 if you're into that kind of stuff. If you haven't heard of it then let's talk!
