I have a special passion for providing support and services to adoptees, birth parents, adoptive parents, resource parents and anyone from the foster, adoption and kinship circle. As an adoptee myself, it is an honor for me to be able to give back to the community I am also a part of. I have completed the Permanency and Adoption Competency Certification (PACC) and Training for Adoption Competency (TAC) training to become an adoption-competent therapist.

I understand that certain groups of people of are more likely to impacted by trauma than others, whether that be individual trauma or the ripple effects of historical/intergenerational trauma. There is a great need for us to heal from our trauma so we can better access our full selves. I am currently in process of becoming certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a short-term evidenced-based trauma intervention and am able to provide services to help you heal and move forward!

As a multiracial person myself, I understand the complexity of race and culture and it impacts our sense of identity, self and belonging. In order to develop a positive sense of self, it is imperative that we be allowed to explore and connect to these aspects of ourselves. It is my passion and pleasure to be able to provide this space to my clients of all backgrounds and experiences, and especially to those who are trans or interracially adopted or those from multiracial homes.

Why do I behave the way I do with other people? Why can it be so difficult (or too easy) to connect with others? Why do I simultaneously want to pull people close AND push them away? These are just a few of the questions you may have about yourself, which can be confusing and downright frustrating! I utilize aspects of attachment theory in all my work to help clients better understand themselves in relation to others, especially for those who have been in foster care and adoptees.
