About My Clients
My clients tend to be badass, kind, and maybe not know it! They are, or aspiring to be: generational cycle breakers, healing attachment wounds, or seeking alignment with one's values. Are you curious about building insight or ways to self/collectively care? Perhaps we're a fit if you're seeking a therapist who believes and works from a feminist liberation approach, has experience working towards building healthy familial dynamics, and integrates a whole-person & holistic approach to care.
My Background and Approach
I am: a psychologist, a researcher, a community organizer, an educator, a Filipina American, a daughter/mother/sis/partner, and the list may go on. I share this, because often therapists don’t, and to note that my work as a therapist has been cultivated from a myriad of path’s taken to get through this thing called “life”. AND, depending on your context, you can take the same path with a vastly different journey. So, on this therapy journey, we can: 1. explore your past map of life (how you got to this point in your life now) 2. what's your experience now & any concerns currently, and... 3. where do you want to go Sessions are tailored to your unique goals and needs; whether we talk about difficult topics, use journaling, body-somatic work, or just talk through things floating around in your mind, I hope to create a safe space of that will allow you to feel empowered, motived to engage intentionally, and express emotions authentically.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have worked for over a decade in various community organizations, universities/colleges, and non-profits as a therapist, community organizer, and educator. These invaluable experiences gifted me the ability to be person-centered, context-informed, and motivated to value our collective liberation.
