About My Clients
My ideal client is someone who may be navigating the complexities of depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, trauma, stress, or stage-of-life transitions. They may feel overwhelmed by their circumstances or uncertain about how to move forward and are seeking a safe, supportive space to process their emotions and experiences. They aspire to better understand themselves, develop effective coping strategies, and build resilience to face life's challenges with greater confidence.
My Background and Approach
I employ a strength-based approach in my practice. Focusing on inherent strengths and abilities rather than solely on problems or deficits. I use techniques from CBT, DBT, ACT, and solution-focused therapy. My approach is trauma-informed, shifting the focus from "What is wrong with you?" to "What happened to you?"—promoting understanding and healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that counseling is a relational process grounded in trust and connection. My goal is to build secure, supportive relationships with my clients to help them heal and discover what healthy relationships can look like. I work alongside my clients, not only teaching them problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills but also modeling these skills in our interactions. I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I strive to show up as a real, open, and honest human being. I bring authenticity to the counseling relationship, creating a safe space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives.
