About My Clients
You feel worn down by shame, self-criticism, and anxiety. There's a tendency to doubt yourself, to overanalyze situations or things you've said until you feel embarrassed and exhausted. You've always felt different from others—you wish you didn't have to feel everything so deeply, that you weren't as easily overwhelmed by the "small" things in everyday life. More than anything, you want to trust yourself, feel more confident, and be better able to manage painful and overwhelming feelings.
How I Can Help You
I'm a highly sensitive, AuDHDer therapist who helps high-masking, late identified neurodivergent adults make peace with themselves, strengthen inner trust, and learn to honor their unique needs so they can reduce overwhelm and feel grounded, empowered, and expansive in their identities. I offer a compassionate, trauma-sensitive space where all parts of you are welcome and valued (even the parts you hate!) Together we'll create a safe container where you can heal old wounds, accept long-rejected parts of yourself, and build a life that supports your needs and desires rather than requiring you to mask 24/7. I draw from a blend of therapeutic approaches, including Internal Family Systems, attachment theory, psychodynamic theory, mindfulness, and somatic therapy. While our therapy goals will be specific to your needs, my foundational aim is to support you in moving through life with more ease, joy, confidence, and connection.
My Values as a Therapist
I believe we're innately whole, worthy, & filled with the wisdom we need to thrive. My role is to help you find your way back to that truth. Given that we experience many of our greatest joys and deepest wounds in relationships, it makes sense that an authentic, supportive connection with someone who really sees & understands us can be a place for healing and transformation. I'm grateful to have experienced this myself as both the therapist and the client (yes, therapists go to therapy too!) My approach celebrates neurodivergence, is LGBTQIA+ and disability affirming, upholds body liberation/fat acceptance/HAES, is sex, kink, and BDSM positive, sex worker affirming, & supports alternative relationship structures. I’m committed to practicing from a foundation of cultural responsiveness, anti-racism, & harm reduction. I welcome feedback on what is and isn’t working in therapy so we can make our sessions as helpful & valuable as possible for you. Learn more at DreamingPinesTherapy.com.
