About My Clients

My name is Rebekah, and I am so glad that you’re here. I work with clients who are struggling with complex life circumstances including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, identity exploration and parenting challenges. We will work together to build holistic practices that lead to deeper, more authentic connection with yourself and with those you care about, while nurturing and healing the parts of your story impacted by trauma, disconnection, and loss.

My Background and Approach

My clinical training is rooted in the treatment of developmental and complex trauma, as well as in the treatment of depression, anxiety, attachment disorders, relationship issues and supportive parenting. I also specialize in supporting those navigating adverse religious experiences and spiritual/religious trauma. I received my MSW in 2013 with a focus on interpersonal trauma studies. I am trained in EMDR - the leading, evidence-based approach for treating trauma, PTSD, and phobias, as well as Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) - a leading treatment approach for children, youth and adults navigating attachment disorders, as well as for those who simply want to better understand their attachment style and how it impacts their relationships with self and others. My professional experience includes work and research in residential treatment programs, in-home therapy, hospital- and emergency-based mental health services, and outpatient settings.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Helping clients be present with their story and find their voice is part of what I find most fulfilling about the therapeutic process. Our voice, our ability to share our story and our needs can be stifled and silenced by hurtful and overwhelming experiences, often within the context of relationships with those closest to us. We find ways to quiet those silenced feelings of shame, fear, anger, sadness, grief, and identity just to get by. What we sacrifice in the process is our authenticity, compassion for ourselves and others, and ability to connect in meaningful ways. I enjoy helping clients set meaningful goals as well as creating room for self-exploration, compassion, patience, and acceptance. I believe in the power and importance of relationships - including the relationship we have with ourselves. It is my passion to walk with you and to help light the path ahead so you can be more fully connected to yourself and to those that matter most to you.
