About My Clients
I work best with adolescents and adults who are seeking a compassionate and genuine therapy relationship to understand themselves, regain or build personal strength, and make choices to have the life they want. Growth takes place within this curious and supportive relationship, often by developing a deeper sense of the themes or patterns in their life, learning what is unchangeable, knowing how you understand yourself and your worth, and changing beliefs you have that interfere with your life.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Biola University (APA-Accredited) and completed training at Harbor-UCLA. Beyond graduate school, I completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center. I provide psychodynamic psychotherapy that is primarily informed by relational psychoanalysis, object relations, and attachment theories. This is an approach to therapy deeply respects of how the impact of the meaningful people and events in our lives have shaped how we experience ourselves, others, and our emotions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the best and most lasting change takes place in an honest and engaged relationship. I also believe that people are trying their best and want to feel better.
