About My Clients
My ideal client seeks a deeper understanding of life's challenges and would like to establish a more balanced relationship with the self and the world around. This could be accomplished by learning to work with our unconscious through techniques of depth psychology as well as by understanding and working through deeper ancestral and family patterns.
My Background and Approach
I received traditional medical training with a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and both a Master's and a Doctorate in Medical Sciences. My graduate education was completed at osteopathic institutions which emphasized a holistic approach to health, considering the mind, body, and spirit. Additionally, I completed a 1-year post-professional training in psychodynamic psychotherapy and continue to pursue continued education in Jungian psychology and family systems therapy. This diverse training allows me to offer both psychotherapy and medication management based on individual needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that there is no one right approach to therapy or treatment. My promise to you is to view you as a unique individual with your unique story and concerns. Individuals may vary in their readiness to engage in psychotherapeutic work and I am ready to help assist you on this journey regardless of where you currently are. Many times, clients seek help when things are seemingly falling apart, and my goal is to help you work through your challenges to emerge as a more integrated and whole person as opposed to only helping you with managing negative symptoms without looking at the broader picture.
