About My Clients
I work with individual adults struggling with attachment and intimacy, dating and relationships, meaning and purpose, perfectionism, anxiety, depression, or general existential dread. I especially enjoy working with the marginalized, misfits, outcasts, or anyone who feels like one.
My Background and Approach
My theoretical approach is rooted in liberatory justice frameworks and incorporates techniques from emotionally focused therapy and existential therapy, among others. I believe that one of the most important factors in therapy is the therapeutic relationship, so my focus is on building a strong relationship with my clients and utilizing techniques based on individual client needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a humanist which means that I believe that humans are innately good, deserving of empathy, and possess the power to heal and grow. My counseling approach focuses on helping clients to identify their emotions and feel their feelings without shame. I aspire to help clients to embrace vulnerability and authenticity in an emotionally supportive environment so they can create the meaning, connection, and joy they desire in their lives.
