Addiction often presents itself in various forms. The impact of addiction results in cycles of negative behaviors affecting the individual and those they love. As a licensed addiction specialist, I provide clinical services to support and guide you through the process of recovery and change in a caring and non-judgmental atmosphere.

An eclectic theoretical approach is utilized to meet the varied needs of clients. Clients like their issues are unique, and because of this uniqueness, clients require different levels of interactions, and counseling approaches. Eclectic therapy is not a concrete or rigid model. Instead it encompasses an array of interventions to meet the needs of the client.

The Psychoanalytic model is client-centered and focuses on the past experiences of each client. Past experiences often impact current life situations which can hinder productive growth in the here and now. Past experiences such as childhood trauma or family life cycles are addressed to identify behavioral patterns that require change in the clients life.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is person centered and addressed the thought, behavior, and emotional patterns and cycles of the individual. The manner of which a person thinks results in the behaviors that are exhibited by the individual. This model is evidence based and provides successful treatment outcomes.

This approach has proven to be particularly effective with people that may be unwilling or unable to change. Healing through person-centered conversation and insight provoking questions are used in my treatment style.
