About My Clients
You've done what you thought you were supposed to do, you may have accomplished some major milestones in your life, and yet you are left wondering- isn't it supposed to feel better than this? When your feelings don't match your expectations, you find it hard not to just act "fine" so that others don't think you're ungrateful for what you have. This leaves you feeling ashamed, confused, and alone. I can help you rediscover your own voice, and to finally feel calm, fulfilled, and connected.
My Background and Approach
More than anything else, I want therapy to be a place to experience something new, not just to talk about it. That way, when you are living your daily life, you already have the experience, tools, and practice with how you want life to feel. This is why I have focused my education and training on both mind *and* body awareness and transformation. I've found that many people know a lot about what is happening for them, but knowing is not enough to change. I use a talk therapy that includes body-based approaches, with specialized training in applying this to trauma treatment. I want to share the many tools I have learned that can help you feel more grounded, calm, and able to feel more connected to yourself and to others. Together, we find out what works best for you, and work to make that feel like second nature. If you decide to make changes in your life, I am with you every step of the way as you explore options and outcomes, and to celebrate when you get there.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice is about inclusion, offering affirmative healing for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, women, or those who experience discrimination based on body size, shape, or ability. If you are someone who has been made marginalized looking for a place to heal, welcome. If you are someone wanting a brave space to process your privilege, welcome. If you are both, welcome.
