My Background and Approach
I specialize in assisting minorities with processing how trauma influences how you show up in relationships. I enjoy working with those who struggle with stressful life events that interfere with being present and enjoying your life. I use different approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Every individual has the capacity for growth and change. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their inner selves and overcome personal challenges. Growing up, mental health wasn't talked about within my family or community. Now that I am older and wiser, I help bring attention to treating mental health to help break the negative stigma.
