About My Clients

You're a mom who feels confused, unfulfilled and lost. You think "I'm too much." You want to feel more confident, calm, joyful. You want to stand up for yourself without feeling like a "b&%$)." But, you stuff the problems down, say “It’s fine” or you cry, yell, and snap at others. You think "I want to feel different but things will never change." You want to let go of "shoulds." You want to heal from trauma, parent differently, and feel more like yourself and you want a body-based approach.

My Background and Approach

You deeply want to let go of the pain and hurt that is swirling around your head and body. Whatever is bothering you; your identity as a mom, new relationship dynamics, how you were raised, prenatal or postpartum challenges, pregnancy loss or termination, or maybe past abuse, I want to support you. I use body-based therapy approaches so you can release this pain and nurture your nervous system to become a more conscious and awake version of yourself. I use cutting-edge techniques like EMDR, somatic experiencing, and trauma-conscious yoga to connect the mind AND body so you can work through your past and LET GO of the intensity of the pain. My background and experience is in domestic and sexual violence. I have experience working with families and women. My passion is helping you explore your new identity within motherhood and release the emotional and physical pain in your body so you can be the woman you want to be.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe all behavior has a purpose; usually protection. If we sit with what our body has to say and listen we will learn what that function is. I don't believe we can "hack" our mental health struggles. This is a slow process of our body relearning what true safety and belonging look like. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because we've learned behaviors that kept us safe in the past but now are keeping us stuck. My parents divorced when I was young and my home life was vastly different at each house. As a child and into adulthood I've struggled with rest, hypervigilance, and co-dependency with family and relationships. Through my own somatic therapy, and becoming a mother, I've learned how to better take care of myself, hold boundaries, and unlearn behaviors that stem from attachment wounds. I'm a member of the LGBTQ community, and support Black Lives Matter, Pro-Choice, and Free Palestine. If you want to learn more about how I can help, send me a message.
