I am a Licensed Addiction Counselor in the State of Colorado with a great deal of experience treating people with addiction from outpatient level to Intensive Outpatient level of care.

Trauma was the reason that I entered into this career field and remains my passion. I truly believe that we can heal our internal trauma and hold onto the memories without being constantly hurt by the pain. I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to gently heal and help the parts of ourselves that were wounded by traumatic past experiences.

I served for 10 years in the military and that experience has given me insight into the unique struggles of veterans as they seek to move towards their vison of a healthy, hopeful, and meaningful life.

I am Level 1 trained in IFS through the recognized Internal Family Systems Institute. It is my primary treatment orientation and I have found it to be effective with all of my clients.

I have been teaching and providing DBT for my clients for over 8 years and have found it to be very useful skills to help anyone.

I have gone through formal EMDR training and have been practicing EMDR for many years. I have found that EMDR works best when it is used within the framework of IFS.
