About My Clients
You're a people-pleaser, late-bloomer, self-explorer, or someone who values your inner life and wants to dive deeper. Adults who are creative, curious, and compassionate but struggle to apply those strengths to themselves consider me a good fit, as do those who crave relationships but find them to be more trouble than they're worth.
How I Can Help You
Therapy works best when we work together. My part in that collaboration is to offer a nurturing, inquisitive, and gently challenging space that invites you to explore themes of struggle in your life. Perhaps that’s overwhelm, burnout, perfectionism, identity questions, relational struggles, creative blocks, work-related dissatisfaction, generally feeling unfulfilled, or the stress of everyday life. Reimagining yourself and the world around you can be scary. Care, non-judgment, and gentle humor tend to ease this, which is part of the therapeutic relationship I support us in cultivating.
My Values as a Therapist
Therapy is often more about exploring, surrendering, experiencing, and unlearning rather than eradicating unpleasant feelings or aspects of self. We're not chasing a destination of static, endless bliss, -- life is alive and moving and full of ebbs and flows. Instead we'll collaborate on making meaning of your experiences, strengthening your relationship with yourself, and improving your ability to assert your needs and values with those most important to you. This journey often includes identifying how the families, communities, and systems you're a part of may be misaligned with what you value most, causing harm to your emotional growth. Unlearning old core beliefs and assumptions about yourself is an empowering way to re-engage with the life you dream of. I am affirmative of LGBTQ+ and relationship-minorities, including polyamory, and take seriously the impact of my privileges as a cis, white therapist.
