My Background and Approach
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re in the midst of a challenging season of life. You may have already tried so many things to feel better, only to find that nothing seems to work. I get it—I’ve been there. There have times in my own life, whether becoming a mom, navigating a quarter-life crisis, or figuring out relationships, where I felt completely unseen during those transitions. New chapters in life often stir up a mix of emotions—excitement, anxiety, stress, and hope. I’m honored that you’re open to letting me support you through this journey. My goal is to walk alongside you as you navigate these new and uncertain times, offering the understanding and guidance you deserve. My approach is emotionally-focused, eclectic, and holistic. I pull from various therapeutic approaches influenced by parts work, psychodynamic, relational theories, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness to foster growth and healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I firmly believe in the healing power of therapy and understand how important it is to find the right therapist. The search can feel overwhelming, especially when you're struggling. My goal is to create a space where you can share openly and feel heard. I value consistency, empathy, curiosity, and humor in my work. I am dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive space for all individuals. I find immense joy and fulfillment in working with folks from diverse backgrounds. I'm a lifelong learner, always seeking new training, reading, and listening to podcasts on relevant clinical topics. Having been on the client side of therapy, I deeply understand the process and its challenges. I believe therapy can benefit everyone, and my ongoing personal and professional growth makes me a stronger therapist. I am committed to continuing this journey of deeper self-work, which enhances my ability to support and connect with my clients.
