About My Clients

You're in your 20s or 30s, and while on the outside you seem to have it all together, on the inside you feel broken. You prioritize others' needs over your own, leading to resentment, burnout, and disconnection. You’ve had relationships and experiences in your past that make you feel lonely, defective, ashamed, and unworthy. You're an expert at intellectualizing your problems, but struggle to connect to your body and emotions. You want to feel in control and take back power over your life.

My Background and Approach

I hold advanced training in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), where I'll help you to explore the internal "parts" of yourself in order to increase self-compassion, shift patterns that are no longer serving you, and heal deep emotional wounds, leading to increased clarity, confidence, and harmony in your relationship with yourself and with others. IFS therapy views the patterns we want to change as originating from an adaptive place of survival. I’ll help you to heal the parts that are keeping you stuck while understanding the good intentions that were there all along. I believe therapy should be not only about managing or coping with symptoms but about achieving deep, lasting, and transformative change. I'll help you to safely and deeply explore your goals in a collaborative, warm, and radically nonjudgmental space. If you are ready to take this courageous first step, please reach out. I look forward to working with you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a therapist, I am feminist, queer-affirming, sex-positive, culturally-inclusive, and social justice-oriented. My work acknowledges larger systems (racism, patriarchy, capitalism) that impact mental health and I bring this into our work together. I am passionate about de-stigmatizing therapy and pushing against systems that pathologize mental health. I am committed to providing deeply affirming care that actively acknowledges and explores the impact of systemic oppression on marginalized communities. Prior to opening my private practice, I worked for 4 years in community mental health, where I provided individual and group psychotherapy, crisis-intervention, and suicide-prevention services to youth and adults experiencing homelessness, chronic medical issues, and co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions. I also worked in the re-entry field, providing trauma-focused individual psychotherapy to folks transitioning out of prison.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
