About My Clients
I work with people with ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, depression, and people who are adjusting to life changes. Maybe you're not sure what label applies, but you know life has thrown you a curveball and you're feeling stuck. I help people stay organized and focused, cope with anxiety and/or depression, navigate social situations, manage relationships, and get back on track. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you make changes in your life.
My Background and Approach
I have been practicing for 15 years. I earned my Doctor of Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2009. My therapy style is a blend of techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I also enjoy talking about executive functioning skills and social skills. I believe that effective therapy is built on a strong relationship. This helps people feel safe to talk about important issues. Ultimately, I want to find the what works best for each client. In addition to offering in-person sessions in Weddington, NC (just outside of Charlotte), I am also a PsyPact provider. I am able to provide telehealth sessions in 40+ states.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
One of the reasons I decided to become a psychologist is because I enjoy having genuine conversations with people. Casual conversation is fine, but I find myself feeling hooked when someone genuinely has something important to say. I value kindness, honesty, and open-mindedness. I believe everyone can change and grow, but I know that journey can be challenging. Let me know if I can help you along the way.
