About My Clients
Are you feeling overwhelmed by life? Do you feel like you’re stuck in your head, being pushed around by negative thoughts and emotions, or engaging in the same self-destructive patterns, while life passes you by? I believe that all of us have an inner source of wisdom and strength that we can learn to listen to in order to cultivate a life full of meaning and purpose. I work with a diverse range of clients with a focus on the LGBT+ community.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I’ve been providing therapy services for adults since 2015. I provide online therapy to adults in the state of Texas with a focus on LGBT issues, Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Depression, Existential Issues, and Anger Management Issues. I enjoy bringing in a variety of therapy models and techniques to personalize the therapy experience for each client. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a mindfulness-based approach that focuses on helping you to figure out what really matters to you and helps you to create the kind of life that you want to live. In my free time, I love playing tabletop and roleplaying games with my friends and taking care of my cat, Einstein.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the inherent worth and dignity of all of my clients. I believe that everyone is capable of working to build the life that they want to live, while being acutely aware of the social and political systems that often work against us. In this current climate, it's important for members of the LGBT+ population and our allies to work together to build communities of mutual aid and support.
