About My Clients

I work best with clients who want to go deep to address: • Depression, isolation, or overwhelm • Grief and loss • Anxiety • Perfectionism & inner critic • Finding new ways to cope • Difficulty in intimate relationships • Trauma • Burnout

My Background and Approach

In a culture that prizes intellectualization, productivity, and perfectionism, I invite space to contact your intuition, to rest, and to delight in being in process. I work somatically using the body's wisdom to help clients process pain and grief and connect back to themselves and a place of safety within. I also work relationally, using the therapeutic relationship to help clients understand what is their experience in relationship and to experience new ways of being that translate to outside the therapy room. I aspire to rock the boat in an intentional, caring way to offer you a perspective you haven't thought of yet.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that we suffer because of the world, culture, and systems in which we live, not because we are broken. At best these systems around us mean well but often don’t support us in the ways we need; at worst, they oppress, violate, and even kill us. To survive, we adapt. At creation, our adaptations are brilliant, but often we outgrow them, or they control us. These adaptations may impact us through chronic anxiety, symptoms of depression, a fierce inner critic, loneliness, or shame.
