About My Clients

My Background and Approach
I specialize in mood, anxiety, cognitive, behavioral, and addiction related disorders. My holistic approach consists of cognitive behavioral and solution focused therapies to help individuals navigate and better understand the places in their life causing pain, and supporting them in living their most authentic lives. As a provider I work on guiding individuals towards improving cognitive distortions, emotional regulation, healthier coping skills, and self-esteem.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. Which means that I think you can unlearn the faulty behaviors and replace them with healthy ones. I went through my own period of time where I feel victim to the perfectionist mind state and sought my own therapy when the impact of not meeting such an unreachable standard was too much for me to manage on my own. Through my own therapy and inner work I have learned to rethink my thoughts and hold the notion that all of my thoughts are simply opinions based off the information I had to work with. With new information, new ideas and perspectives I have been able to change and develop healthier ways to think about myself and the world around me. I don't discriminate agains anyone and I promote equity for all. I'm a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and support Black Lives Matter.
