Chronic anxiety can disconnect you from loved ones and interfere with work. I can help you recognize and diminish the self-defeating behaviors that create the snowball effect .

I use best practices such as CBT, DBT, EFT and EMDR to help you steady the chatter in your head and feel peace in being your genuine self without the strain and effort of the “what ifs?” I can help you build lasting connection that goes beyond the session to support your relationships in real life. I am results-oriented so that you know the benefit of your therapy and can put what you learn about yourself into action. What's the point of therapy if nothing changes in your life? I focus on your discovering your unique patterns of stress and the warning signs that trigger your anxiety and any disconnect from those with whom you want to feel *safe.* This is particularly important for trauma resolution and work with autistics. The magic is in learning to connect by reading your cues and seeing the impact those cues have on others. You’ll learn to recognize your progress by your improved relationships. I am licensed in AZ.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Just because we feel we lack control does not mean we are entirely helpless. It’s the feeling helplessness that generates anxiety as a highly evolved emotional state intended to put us in a protective stance. I can help you learn to calm yourself, so that you can better tolerate the unpredictable and be at your most effective. This is an amazing attribute that helps you read your environment and loved ones differently. You are built for self-healing, so many of the interventions I use, such as EMDR, Brainspotting and mindfulness, help you access or "jump start" this innate process so that you don't have to fight with the cumulation of internal stress that keeps us "stuck" and in various states of reactivity. I also specialize in attachment improving modalities that mirror how we create attachment in the first place.
