PTSD and C-PTSD are diagnoses that the majority of my clients have had at some point in their lives. I am diagnosed with PTSD and understand first hand and from my clients the many ways it shapes our lives. From the internal family systems lens, PTSD is a strategy to keep the fragile and vulnerable parts of ourselves from being harmed again. Working within this framework can be very healing.

Depression can cause us to withdraw from our lives and feel as if there is no way to feel better. Using the Internal Family Systems approach, we can help those parts of us that are causing us to feel overwhelmed and unable to cope with life. By helping those parts we can regain our feelings of hope and natural ability to solve life's problems.

My neurodivergence has made my life very difficult. When I was a child in the 1960s, there was no understanding of the way I experience the world. I feel so very fortunate now to be able to talk openly about my ND and help my ND clients find their best path forward in the lives they choose. Interpersonal neurobiology has been the most effective approach according to my ND clients in their work with me.

I hold equanimity and acceptance as the core of what I bring to the safe space I create with my clients. The Rogerian approach is often called unconditional positive regard and this way of relating to clients best serves them in the way that is best for them.

I am a Level1 Internal Family Systems therapist and will be completing my Level 2 training in January of 2025. I have found IFS to be the most gentle and effective method of therapy. The healing clients have experienced when we have worked using this framework is both lasting and observable by clients loved ones.

IPNB is the approach that has proven our brains are plastic till our last day. This approach shows us that therapy can be helpful throughout our whole lives which means there is hope for all who wish to grow and heal no matter what stage of life they might be in.

Experiences of trauma can cause us to build strategies to cope with life that often are not helpful to us. Healing trauma takes a gentle and steady approach with small steps taken over time. The Internal Family Systems approach has proven to be very effective in healing trauma.

Anxiety can make our lives stressful. It can harm our relationships with ourselves and others but it is possible using the approach of Internal Family Systems to help those parts of ourselves that are anxious. By helping those anxious parts we can lower our anxiety and allow ourselves to live more full lives.
