About My Clients
Are you at a point in your life where you feel lost, uncertain, or unhappy? During these times, therapy can be incredibly beneficial in helping us move forward and find contentment in our lives. I aim to provide you with supportive and collaborative guidance, as well as a safe and non-judgmental space where you can be your authentic self. I approach therapy with warmth, openness, and empathy, and I hope to help you feel heard and understood.
My Background and Approach
Since 2016, I have been practicing therapy with extensive training in various modalities, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), emotion-focused therapy, and exposure and response prevention (ERP). My experience includes working in community mental health and college counseling, where I’ve utilized evidence-based treatments and relationally oriented theories. My primary approach combines psychodynamic, ACT, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), with self-compassion as a foundational element. I focus on creating a safe, supportive environment, addressing a range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, disordered eating, OCD, relational issues, trauma, and family dynamics. Additionally, I provide psychological testing and evaluation, including ADHD assessments. I am committed to culturally sensitive therapy and ensuring each client’s unique experiences are respected and valued, empowering them as experts in their own lives.
My Values as a Therapist
As a therapist, I deeply value fostering self-compassion and helping clients make peace with themselves. I believe in normalizing the human experience, including our feelings, mistakes, and interpersonal difficulties. My approach is grounded in the understanding that embracing our imperfections is essential to healing. Having been in therapy myself, I know what it's like to be in the client's position—how vulnerable, challenging, and ultimately rewarding it can be. This perspective allows me to empathize deeply, supporting clients in cultivating a healthy relationship with themselves, accepting their emotions, navigating challenges with kindness, and embracing the fullness of their humanity.
