About My Clients
Has your life become messy and unmanageable? Lately, are you overwhelmed and not feeling quite like yourself? I know because I have been there.
My Background and Approach
I am an open-minded and collaborative therapist. There is probably not much that you could share with me that would shock me, so check your shame at the door and allow me to support your healing and growth. The tools and techniques that I will share with you are many that I use in my own life. In addition, I attend workshops and trainings to stay current on the latest evidence-based approaches. I believe that you are the expert on you, and I am here to guide you and provide insight and resources that you may have not considered. I use both cognitive based therapies and body based therapies, so you can understand how your mind and body work together to create your experience in life. I enjoy using humor in session to lighten the mood and provide comfort and connection. Together we will examine the root causes of your difficulties and move forward with insight, tools and techniques to help you grow and live a more fulfilling life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value humanity and the good in people. I think all people should be able to design a life that works for them and not have to live by society's standards. I believe that life can be extremely hard and that no one gives us a manual or teaches us how to navigate and live a fulfilling human life. We study hard in school but never learn about emotions and how are brains and bodies work. I think having a safe, nonjudgmental place to share some of the thoughts and experiences we bury inside can be extremely freeing and healing. My own powerful experience in therapy guided me to become a therapist and help others that are struggling. I look forward to helping you gain more peace in your life.
