About My Clients
As a psychologist, I take a client-centered approach, working with each individual to create meaningful and personalized goals. Many of my clients seek therapy to address work and career concerns, men’s issues, depression, and anxiety, as well as to gain support during life transitions. Whether you’re navigating changes in health, relationships, parenthood, or career shifts, I’m here to provide a space to explore your experiences and empower you to move forward with clarity and confidence.
My Background and Approach
At the core of therapy is my focus on establishing a strong working and therapeutic relationship. My style and approach blends therapy techniques from various modalities, but is most often informed by Interpersonal Process Therapy (IPT). When appropriate, I incorporate my extensive knowledge of other modalities, which includes Existential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other strength-based approaches. My training includes experiences in integrative and primary care psychology, addiction and substance use disorder treatment clinics, counseling centers. I also have unique training and experience as a vocational psychologist, focusing on the intersection of career and mental health concerns. Prior to becoming a psychologist, I spent 10 years working at colleges and universities as a career counselor. My work as a psychologist has been profoundly rewarding and I truly enjoy getting to know each of the clients who work with me.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Kindness and compassion are tantamount in my work as a psychologist. I heavily consider identity- and intersectionality in my work as a therapist, recognizing that our various identities inform our view and experience in the world.
