About My Clients
The clients I see often arrive having already endured so much. They see themselves as a neurodivergent individual, an LGBTQIA+ individual, or someone with relational trauma. For many this has manifested in an anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, or Autism diagnosis. For many, it has not. My clients experience a collaborative and safe environment to challenge some of the narratives life has given us and become the person they want to be.
How I Can Help You
I come to therapy with a background in the performing arts before obtaining an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. I use my experience in the arts to foster humor, creativity, and a curious mind about how the world works. I am a neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ affirmative provider who works from a narrative and attachment lens. What this means is that I believe that the words we say to ourselves matter and I believe that past relationships have taught us how we relate to others today. I use play and art therapies to work with kids and adults. I find that play and art can help those who have experienced events they do not yet have the words for express their thoughts and feelings to heal. Additionally, I hold advanced training in AIR Network for complex trauma and dissociation. I also gained training from the Gottman Institute for couples therapy.
My Values as a Therapist
As a therapist, I check my ego at the door. Therapy is about you. I am flexible in how I work and love to collaborate with clients and create a style and structure that works best for you. I am an neurodivergent and gender affirming therapist and work within a feminist lens.
