About My Clients

I work collaboratively with my clients to find out what works for them and their situation. I am an integrative therapist, tailoring approaches to fit each client’s needs. Although asking for help can be difficult, know that I will be there to support your journey from the very first phone call all the way through to your discharge session. Together we can uncover underlying reasons for behaviors and emotions and address those to learn healthier, more productive, and beneficial ways.

My Background and Approach

I view my role as a therapist as one who walks beside you on your journey, offering a safe place to talk to guide you in the direction of the life that you are destined to lead. I have worked in several different levels of care throughout my career and have extensive training in marriage and family therapy. My personal journey and my professional career have been focused on assisting people in shifting from a sense of powerlessness to personal empowerment. I know from personal experience how difficult it is to be emotionally vulnerable with a therapist. I understand what it is like to be a client. My clients typically struggle with life changes, relationship difficulties, personal growth, or want to enhance and lead a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in compassion-focused therapy to assist individuals in establishing and evolving mental and emotional healing by encouraging compassion towards themselves and others, which is an essential part of well-being. Acceptance is the willingness to tolerate a challenging situation and endure. To accept a difficult situation is a choice, and it is intentional and full of purpose. The very foundation of a caring relationship can be found in valuing your partner's differences. The focus of the therapeutic process aids in growing creative processes and becoming more communicative and expressive by raising awareness of issues, healing, and motivating for change. Therapy is most effective when an individual can be open and honest. Confidentiality is a well-respected and needed part of the code of ethics. I will always uphold my code of ethics, and I am fully willing to sign additional non-disclosure obligations as required.
