About My Clients
I specialize in helping my clients to build healthier relationships with themselves, inside of themselves. I believe that the most important relationship that you'll ever have is the one you have with yourself. Our relationship with ourselves often influences how we relate to other people, how we make choices and how confident we feel about our ability to achieve our dreams. If you experience anxiety, depression, and/or you have experienced trauma, I encourage you to consider reaching out to me.
My Background and Approach
My approach is inspired by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Drama Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I help my clients to identify the different parts of them, for example, the part of them that wants to get that new job, vs. the part of them that feels anxiety, wondering if they have what it takes. I help people understand what is happening, and work toward resolving inner-conflict.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing and social justice are the same thing. I view our lived experiences and identities within psychological terms as well as socio-cultural terms. In other words, I view my clients’ experiences of feeling safe or unsafe / belonging or not belonging within the context of systems: systems within our own minds, systems within our families, and systems of power and oppression within our societies. I integrate a wide variety of perspectives toward psychological, existential and spiritual health and healing. I honor the lived experience, gender identities and cultures held by my clients.
