About My Clients
Are you or your child feeling anxious all the time? Always on high alert, edgy and ready to snap? Have you been through a traumatic or stressful event and have a hard time coping? Do you feel hopeless, stuck, lost or unmoored? Is your child acting out, and you can’t figure out why? These symptoms are our soul’s way of letting us know we need support. I can help you safely work through difficult issues and experiences, and learn new skills to effectively make your way through this complex world.
My Background and Approach
I am an LMFT, Certified Trauma Resiliency Model practitioner, yoga teacher, and lover of movement, play, and expressive art. I'm dedicated to social justice, celebrate neurodiversity, and am a staunch ally of the LGBTQI+ community. I use a blend of talk and somatic therapy, art, play, and mindfulness to support you in reaching your unique therapeutic goals, whether those are to alleviate symptoms, work on relationships, or embark on the journey of self-discovery. I work with adults, adolescents, children, and families on issues such as anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, creative problems, communication, and life transitions (ie changes in school/career, life stages, birth, adoption, or divorce.) I also offer IEP support for children with learning challenges. I cultivate a safe space for you to explore and unravel old patterns, develop concrete wellness tools, learn to engage more authentically with your Self and others, and create the freedom in our psyche to make clearer choices.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
There are many reasons to seek therapy, and each person’s path to it and through it is unique. I view therapy as a collaborative journey to support wellbeing on all levels: mind, body, and soul. Therapy can help you integrate lost, forgotten or split-off parts of yourself to bring healing and wholeness. It is a sacred space where we journey together to explore and untangle the issues that are creating distress in your life, to uncover and heal old wounds or uncover lost and hidden treasures, to help you find your personal path back to wholeness, back to Self. Therapy can help your child safely work through feelings such as sadness, anger, fear, anxiety, trauma, or grief; and learn new skills to effectively make their way through an increasingly complex world. Best of all, therapy can help your child learn to know and accept themselves fully, and develop a strong sense of self-esteem. Therapy is a process, and it takes courage to seek help. I will have your back every step of the way.
