Throughout life, we experience many transitions and challenges that are difficult to navigate. Sometimes, we need support in identifying and removing the barriers that can hold us back. I work with college students, young adults, and adults navigating various challenges such as life transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, and disordered eating.
My Background and Approach
I believe therapy is a collaborative effort between therapist and client and that we work together as a team to meet your goals. I utilize a strength-based, multicultural-informed and feminist lens to empower my clients to develop insight and bring out their inner resiliencies. I utilize approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and trauma-informed care to meet my clients where they are at. I incorporate Intuitive Eating and Dance/Movement Therapy frameworks along with mindfulness into my practice to facilitate mind-body connection and assist clients who are seeking to improve their relationship with their body and food. I focus on body neutrality and take a Health at Every Size approach as the core of my work is rooted in rejecting diet culture.
