About My Clients

In my clinical experience I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse population in age, culture, gender identity and expression, economic background, and diagnoses. This is one of the things I love most about being a therapist is being able to support all different people from all walks of life. I specialize in trauma work but have experience and enjoy supporting my clients in whatever challenges life brings.

My Background and Approach

I specialize in the treatment of trauma, depression, anxiety and stress, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties. I strive to be genuine, developing positive relationships so I can be a partner in your healing process. In my 6 years of practice working with many different people with a large variety of diagnoses, I have come to individualize treatment utilizing a variety of techniques including talk-therapy, non-verbal therapies (EMDR), and art based techniques. In these difficult times, I hope to offer a unique way to receive therapy from the safety of your own home or safely in person. The path to healing is not straight and can feel like an impossible task, but we do not have to walk alone. The human body has incredible power to recall difficult memories, bury negative thoughts, and to remind us of unfinished business. Together we can journey towards health and happiness.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

In my past years as a therapist and developing as a person I have been striving to be as genuine as I can. In this journey I have been working on a lot of self-exploration and the hard work to challenge myself. I have been working to approach everything in therapy and in my personal life though a trauma focused lens. Being part of the LGBT community I have been working to create an open an accepting environment while also recognizing there are many things I don't know and checking my own privilege as a "straight-passing" individual. I also have worked on and continue to work on being anti-racist and supporting the black and people of color I work with, as well as supporting the Black Lives Matter movement. I am open to doing my own work along side the people I work with and am so welcome to feedback in being a better version of myself.
