About My Clients
In working with individuals, I use attachment, systemic, and trauma informed approaches. If you are an individual struggling with chronic stress, codependency, perfectionism, or difficulty establishing an authentic sense of self, these symptoms can often be the result of current or past relationship dynamics that can be addressed and changed. I have training in both Gottman and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy models in working with couples on issues from infidelity to communication issues.
My Background and Approach
In working with individuals, I have experience in working with complex post traumatic stress disorder, depression, and anxiety, I also have experience in working with individuals issues related to identity, men's issues, codependency, perfectionism, burnout, and chronic stress. I also have experience working with male survivors of sexual abuse. In treating these concerns, I utilize an integration of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Internal Family Systems, and Psychodynamic approaches such as Object-Relations Psychotherapy. In working with couples, I treat a wide variety of concerns including infidelity, intimacy problems, parenting conflicts, and communication difficulties. I utilize an integrated Gottman Method combined with Sue Johnson's Emotionally Focused Couple's Therapy to address these concerns.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The past doesn't have to determine the future. I’m here to help you. My training in codependency recovery, attachment-trauma, and couple’s therapy means I have the expertise you need and deserve when healing yourself and your relationships. But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who “gets” it, who understands what it means to be an individual struggling to find their confidence or connecting with their partner, right? I get it because I have dedicated my career to working with individuals and couples facing these specific challenges. I know that this work is an investment and that, at times, the exhaustion can feel overwhelming. When we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through.
