About My Clients
I specialize in working with adolescents, teens, justice/system-involved individuals, young adults, Queer folks (2SLGBTQIA), B.I.POC (People of the Global Majority) and neurodiverse individuals. Do you have overwhelming emotions, mood changes, and/or intrusive thoughts that have caused distress in your life? Are they preventing you from living a fulfilling life? Do you feel stuck and unable to process and move through past traumas?
My Background and Approach
My lived experiences of being queer, non-binary, neurodiverse, 1st generation, navigating the world and the trauma that comes with that, has led me to the practice of healing. As I learned about intersectional oppression, I began to make sense of myself, the world and how everything is interconnected. My values for collective liberation, healing and community have led me here. I use a strength-based approach to build on your own inner strengths, identify and rewire unhelpful beliefs/thoughts, and help you access your strengths and skills to reach your goals. I will support you in recognizing the complicated and complex ways that trauma influences all parts of your life, body, and mind. I believe that each person has the capacity and desire for personal growth, healing and change. I aim to support you in exploring the answers within yourself. My position is to guide you in uncovering awarenesses and illuminate on your strengths so that you can learn to empower yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I use an abolitionist, anti-oppressive, anti-imperialist, harm reductionist, intersectional, transformative justice, non-carceral, collective liberation, and decolonized approach. I focus on understanding how systems of oppression directly impact exploited communities. I emphasize how white supremacy, colonization, and capitalism play into this, showing how they impact all on an individual level and how this affects our spiritual, mental, and physical health. There is no one size fits all prescription when it comes to therapy modalities. I decenter pathologizing and recenter the individual as a whole being and the expert of their life. I also provide a therapeutic approach known as Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). KAP is a holistic method that utilizes ketamine alongside psychotherapy to assist eligible individuals in accessing more frequent breakthroughs and lasting symptom improvement.
